We are seeking a results-oriented Quality Manager responsible for leading, developing, and executing quality strategy within a Class A manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all products meet or exceed customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The Quality Manager oversees all quality assurance and quality control activities, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and fosters a culture of operational excellence throughout the facility. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership, process discipline, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and implement Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and VDA standards.
- Lead cross-functional quality planning, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and control plan development.
- Serve as the primary Quality representative during customer, supplier, and third-party audits.
- Oversee daily quality control operations, including inspections, testing, measurement systems, and product validation.
- Ensure compliance with all internal standards, customer-specific requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Identify and analyze quality issues, lead root cause investigations (8D, 5-Why, etc.), and drive corrective/preventive action plans.
- Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reducing defects, improving process capability, and enhancing product performance.
- Use data-driven methods such as SPC, KPI monitoring, trend analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma tools to improve quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to optimize process performance and reduce waste.
- Manage and mentor the Quality team.
- Develop training programs to enhance quality skills across the facility.
- Promote a strong culture of problem-solving, customer focus, and accountability.
- Function as the main point of contact for customer quality concerns, audits, and performance reviews.
- Resolve customer complaints through structured problem solving and responsive communication.
- Manage supplier quality activities, including audits, performance evaluations, and inspection processes.
- Oversee Quality budgets, cost controls, and optimization while driving long-term cost savings.
- Adhere to all procedures, regulatory requirements, and department/company policies.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelorโs degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of quality experience in a Tier I automotive manufacturing environment.
- 5 years of Leadership experience.
- Strong working experience with QMS systems, standards, and audits.
- Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience.
